ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To join the International Development Fellowship Program, applicants must:
- be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants;
- be under the age of 30 at the time of application;;
- demonstrate a strong interest in the field of international development,
microfinance /microenterprise and international media (for YPM applicants);
and hold, at minimum, an Honours Bachelors degree.
This year's management seminar is planned from May 22 – June 19, 2010, with
placements beginning in July 2010 and ending in February 2011.
Who Should Apply?
This program is directed at young development professionals (including recent
graduates) who are looking for training and work experience overseas in order to
attain the level of experience required by international development agencies
for employment in programming and administrative positions.
Applicants will already have demonstrated increasing responsibility in
development-related activities through either work or volunteer experience, and
may have some volunteer experience overseas.
