Canadian Professionals Working Overseas

The Canadian Development Exchange Program (CADEX) initiated in 1985, is AKFC's longest-running professional development program, and operates in collaboration with CIDA. The program's objective is to respond to requests for qualified Canadian specialists to build critical capacities of partners in Africa and Asia. CADEX sends qualified Canadians to provide specialized short-term technical support or longer-term managerial assistance to partners when such expertise is not available in the country or region. Over 154 young, mid-career and senior professionals have been placed on assignments ranging from a few months to several years, often on voluntary or semi-voluntary basis.
