Volunteering at AKFC
Become a volunteer and you'll soon
discover why so many people find volunteering a rewarding and satisfying
experience. Hundreds of people across Canada donate their time and skills to Aga
Khan Foundation Canada, primarily in helping to organize national events that
raise funds for global development and awareness about what's happening in
developing countries.
By volunteering you will:
- make a difference in your community and around the world;
- strengthen your communications abilities;
- learn new skills and expand your horizons;
- help a cause you believe in;
- meet new people and make new friends!
We invite you to join us - discover the satisfaction of knowing that what you
do touches lives and makes the world a better place.
Volunteers can make a contribution to the World Partnership Walk and World Partnership Golf and ongoing activities of Aga Khan Foundation Canada by:
- securing donations from corporations;
- raising funds from individuals in the community;
- enhancing outreach and awareness;
- involving youth and students;
- liaising with the media;
- helping with event logistics;
- providing administrative support;
- assisting in the collection and recording of funds and other follow-up activities.
Training is provided in all areas, and volunteer time can be flexible. If you
