Position & Background
Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC) is seeking a consultant to collaboratively design and deliver a leadership and communications module as part of the AKFC Global Leadership pilot program.
The program is being planned for leaders across various sectors, including the non-profit, academic, corporate social responsibility and social impact sectors, in Canada to gain executive level education and coaching to become successful, impactful leaders committed to building better futures for everyone. The in-person component of the pilot is expected to be executed
the week of March 4th , 2024.

Purpose
There are limited opportunities for mid- to senior-career Canadians to gain executive education and coaching to become successful, impactful leaders with a global mindset. AKFC worked with consultants to design a year-long Global Leadership program. In 2024, AKFC aims to pilot the program over a 4-day period, with the intention to request the pilot cohort to contribute to a co-design process of shaping future iterations of the program. AKFC is seeking faculty/consultants to lead the design and implementation of various modules of the pilot.
Specific Objective
The Leadership and Communications faculty would design and deliver a 4-hour in-person session focused on leadership and communications for participants of the pilot. The session will include, but would not be limited to, understanding personal leadership and communication styles including approaches within cross-cultural situations. The session should be interactive and have
several opportunities to practice what is taught during the module. The selected Faculty will finalize the module plan in consultation with AKFC and consultants supporting with the design of the program to ensure cohesion across the pilot program.

Duration of the Activity
The assignment is expected to be for a maximum of 1 day and is expected to start on December 5, 2023. The training is expected to be delivered in Ottawa on March 7th, 2024. Deadlines for all deliverables will be confirmed upon signing of the contract.
Remuneration and Payment modalities
Payment is linked to receipt and satisfactory acceptance of deliverables.
Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate how they meet the following requirements:
The consultant should have:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in executive leadership and communications education, including designing, planning and operationalizing professional development programs;
- Knowledge and experience of international best practices in executive programs;
- Commitment to upholding gender equality, diversity and inclusion practices;
- Outstanding written and interpersonal communications skills in English.
