Director, Public Engagement & Resource Mobilization

As AKFC’s Director, Public Engagement & Resource Mobilization (PE&RM), you will lead national strategies that inspire Canadians to embrace Canada’s transformative role in building strong, healthy, peaceful and inclusive communities around the world.



AKFC has worked with Canada and Canadians for 40 years to improve the quality of life of millions of people in some of the poorest parts of Asia and Africa. Across the country, AKFC has sponsored some of the most successful public fundraising and engagements initiatives in support of Canada’s role in global development – the World Partnership Walk and the World Partnership Golf have raised over $125 million in support of ground-breaking initiatives and global programs. During a period of unprecedented challenge, which has reinforced Canada’s importance in the global community, AKFC remains uniquely positioned and committed to engaging Canadians to create a better world for all – the Director plays a central role in this effort.

The Position

Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the AKFC Leadership Team, the Director develops, animates, and executes a comprehensive fundraising, public engagement, and communications strategy. The Director is a leader and active and engaged member of the PE&RM team, providing hands-on support, direction and analysis to best advance and spotlight AKFC’s global development mandate. Externally, the Director is a key voice and ambassador, building and maintaining strong working relationships with partners, constituencies, volunteers, and communities across the country.

Your strategic foresight, executional savvy, and political acuity will be valued as will your systematic approach to elevate AKFC’s mobilization and engagement activities. You have a consultative and humble approach to team and partnership building, which will align well with AKFC’s collegial and supportive culture.
