DESCRIPTION:Launching an interactive learning platform that brings our global connections to life.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event will be available in-person and online. Free to attend. \nJoin Aga Khan Foundation Canada and Canadian Geographic for the public launch of A Sustainable World\, an innovative learning platform that brings our global connections to life. Discover how interactive maps\, real-world data\, and stories from around the world can illuminate the connections between global challenges\, from climate change and education to health and gender equality\, while showcasing how communities are responding with innovation and resilience. \nHear from youth and educators during a moderated fireside chat exploring innovative approaches to global citizenship education\, and how classrooms can inspire curiosity\, critical thinking\, and meaningful action in an interconnected world. \nThe afternoon will also feature interactive experiences that bring the themes of A Sustainable World to life\, offering opportunities to explore the platform firsthand and discover new ways to engage with stories\, data\, and global perspectives. \nAttendees can also experience Our Potential\, Our Purpose\, a travelling exhibition that shares inspiring stories of people and communities tackling complex challenges and helping build a more inclusive and sustainable future. \nA Sustainable World was developed by Aga Khan Foundation Canada and Canadian Geographic\, with support from the Government of Canada. It combines expertise in global development\, education\, geography\, and storytelling to bring our global connections to life \nThe full agenda and speaker lineup will be announced soon. \nAdditional information for attendees: \n\nAttendance Options: When registering\, please select whether you will attend in person at the Royal Canadian Geographical Society or online via Zoom by choosing the appropriate ticket type.\n\n\nNetworking Reception: In-person attendees are invited to stay after the program for an informal networking reception and light refreshments.\n\n\nPlease Note: This event will offer English and French interpretation.\n\n\nFree Registration: Attendance is free\, but advance registration is required.\n\nAccessibility: \nWe welcome all visitors and are committed to providing an inclusive\, accessible environment. Our building features a level\, step-free main entrance with automatic power doors. Accessible restrooms are located on every second floor\, and all levels are fully serviceable by our central elevator.
