SUMMARY:Information Session for the International Youth Fellowship Program
DESCRIPTION:January 14\, 2016 –  Nabeel and Faaria discussed their experiences with the program. The presentation was followed by a short question and answer period. \nThe session took place on Google Hangout. Watch here: \n \nVisit our International Youth Fellowship Program website and FAQ page to learn more. \nMeet our speakers:\nFaaria Meghji\nFaaria Meghji holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University. She worked in corporate financial planning for two years before embarking on her journey to India and Bangladesh through Aga Khan Foundation Canada’s International Youth Fellowship Program. In South Asia\, Faaria worked at CARE with marginalized rural communities in the areas of microenterprise development\, agriculture and climate change\, food security\, and women empowerment. She surveyed and interviewed beneficiaries\, wrote assessment reports\, created business and project plans\, produced donor outreach material\, and analyzed qualitative and quantitative data. Faaria’s most notable accomplishment was coordinating the development of a successful project proposal to the Swiss Government for 9 million Swiss Francs. Faaria is currently working in corporate financial planning in Toronto but will be pursuing a Masters in Social Work next year\, as the fellowship further motivated her to devote her life to social causes. \nNabeel Ahmed\nNabeel is Network Coordinator for Social Enterprise Toronto\, a member-led network of nonprofit social enterprises in the Greater Toronto Area that create employment and training opportunities for marginalized individuals.\nAs an International Microfinance and Microenterprise Fellow in 2013\, Nabeel worked as a Financial Analyst at the University of Central Asia in Bishkek\, Kyrgyzstan. He has remained active in international development through his work with the Association for the Development of Pakistan and Pakathon.\nNabeel has a Bachelor’s degree from the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi\, Pakistan\, and a Certificate in Public Administration and Leadership from Ryerson University\, Toronto. He enjoys cricket\, culture (especially from the South Asian subcontinent) and good arguments.

DESCRIPTION:17 janvier 2017 – Depuis 28 ans\, le Programme de stages pour jeunes en développement international de la Fondation Aga Khan Canada a apporté le meilleur du Canada au monde entier afin d’améliorer la vie des gens. Le programme offre une formation sur le développement international et un stage de huit mois à l’étranger à de récents diplômés universitaires et à de jeunes professionnels de 30 ans et moins. \nDécouvrez comment vous joindre à nous afin de faire une différence dans le monde. Nous avons offert deux séances d’information en ligne sur notre Programme de stages pour jeunes en développement international 2017. \nChaque séance a été animée par deux anciens participants du programme : Lauren Stanley et Jamie Charlebois le 10 janvier\, et Jessica Poulin et Elizabeth McSheffrey le 12 janvier.
