June 30 – July 2, 2015 – On Canada Day, participants celebrated how Canadians are driving global change. Together: An exhibition on global development rolled into Halifax, stopping at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 for three days – Tuesday, June 30 to Thursday, July 2.

Two inspiring global citizens
Together transports visitors around the globe with powerful photography and videos, an interactive world map, a global citizen skills quiz, and unique objects from global development projects in Africa and Asia. Visitors enjoyed meeting AKFC program officers who have seen how Canadian efforts are improving lives.
Dr. Fawad Akbari, Senior Program Manager, AKFC – Dr. Akbari discussed health initiatives in Afghanistan, including construction of the new Bamyan Hospital.
Hilary Clauson, Program Officer, AKFC – Hilary discussed how strengthening education programs in East Africa supports the development of future leaders in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
