Get Involved

For over 30 years, we have been engaging Canadians from coast to coast to help build a more peaceful, prosperous, equal and pluralist world.

For more than 35 years, AKFC has brought the best of Canada to the world to change people’s lives for the better. For Canada’s 150th anniversary, we invite you to join us to make an even bigger difference in the world – and celebrate all the ways that we are Canadian.

Every spring over 40,000 Canadians across the country lace up their sneakers to participate in AKFC’s World Partnership Walk, Canada’s largest public movement to fight global poverty. Since 1985, the Walk has raised over $100 million to help communities across Africa and Asia build better futures.

World Partnership Golf is Canada’s only national golf event dedicated to raising funds and awareness to fight global poverty. Held annually in seven cities across the country, the tournaments have raised over $14 million in support of AKFC programs – empowering communities across Africa and Asia to build better futures.

Together is an interactive global development experience, traveling the country in a custom-built transport truck. Since April 2015, the exhibition has welcomed 40,000 visitors across ten provinces, inspiring Canadians to tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges.

Are you a Canadian university graduate or young professional under 30? You can make a world of difference through AKFC’s International Youth Fellowship Program – an extraordinary opportunity to become a leader in global development.

In partnership with the Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ), we support outstanding journalism to help Canadians develop a greater understanding of the complex issues facing the developing world.

Our community of volunteer speakers bring global development issues to life for Canadians of all ages.

We work with Canadian educators to deepen their understanding of global issues and empower them with practical tools and strategies to engage their students to become active global citizens.

The work we do around the world is made possible through the generous support of thousands of Canadians like you. All funds we raise go directly to support our development programs in Asia and Africa.
