Entrepreneurs play a vital role in driving locally led solutions, creating jobs, and helping communities respond to economic and social challenges.

Yet many promising businesses continue to face constraints, including limited access to financing, mentorship, professional networks, markets, technology, and tailored business support.

Accelerate Prosperity, an initiative of the Aga Khan Development Network, offers a practical example of how to overcome these barriers. By combining business acceleration, mentorship, investment readiness, financing, and support for local entrepreneurial ecosystems, the initiative helps businesses unlock their potential and contribute to sustainable economic growth.

This convening, held by Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC), will explore how entrepreneurship can drive inclusive growth in partner geographies and strengthen mutual economic partnerships with Canada. A key focus of the discussion will be the role of local leadership, inclusion, and long-term development outcomes in supporting stronger, more resilient economies.
