Half of these children live in countries torn by conflict – and that number is on the rise. A sense of safety and stability is often out of reach, especially for girls. Schools and a quality education can provide a safe haven, while delivering important life skills and restoring hope for a new generation.

The book Making Markets More Inclusive takes a new approach: focusing on the poor as micro-entrepreneurs and as primary producers of agricultural commodities.
