    June 6, 2015 - AKFC was pleased to host Doors Open at The Delegation of the Ismaili Imamat on Saturday, June 6 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Visitors stopped by for a tour of the building, and explored our new interactive exhibition on global development. Visitors also spoke with our staff about the work that we do in Canada and overseas, and perused our photo gallery to learn about some of our food security and education projects.

They spent eight months contributing their energy and skills to organizations in the developing world, working in fields from microfinance to education to journalism. These challenges constitute a transformative shift of the current development paradigm based on addressing poverty in low-income countries, forcing traditional donor countries, CSOs and NGOs to re-think their development strategies.
