Nine photos, millions impacted: a gallery from around the world

At Aga Khan Foundation Canada, we tackle poverty on many fronts. Together with our partners in the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), we address the social, economic, and cultural dimensions of development, with the common purpose of improving quality of life in the developing world.

The AKDN includes hundreds of schools and two universities; hospitals and health clinics; enterprises and financial institutions essential to vibrant economies; and initiatives to preserve and revitalize cultural heritage as an asset for future generations.

With the start of the new year, we took the opportunity to look back on some of the notable achievements of the AKDN – many of which have Canadian connections. Visit our photo gallery to find out more.
