“I was shocked in the best way possible”: A Trip to East Africa
March 8, 2016 – Amaan Ismail recently took part in AKFC’s annual Awareness Trip. He visited AKFC projects in Mozambique and Tanzania with a group of seven AKFC volunteers and staff. Amaan is a top fundraiser for AKFC’s World Partnership Walk and has volunteered for the Aga Khan Development Network in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. We interviewed Amaan to get his take on the projects he visited in East Africa.

Exploring Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship at the International Forum
February 8, 2016 – On January 22nd AKFC collaborated with WUSC and CECI to present the Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Stream at the International Forum in Ottawa. The Stream, which was funded by Global Affairs Canada, was part of the broader International Forum, which saw over 500 participants engaging on the theme of Inclusive Markets, Inclusive Societies.

Aga Khan Foundation Canada is looking for talented Canadians to create a piece of artwork for our travelling exhibition. Together: An exhibition on global development is an interactive, bilingual experience for all ages, sparking discussions on how Canadians are driving positive change around the world. Visitors are invited to climb aboard and explore a custom-built transport truck with 1,000 square feet of exhibition space, travelling coast-to-coast for two years.
